Neon Floor Lights

I successful install a neon floor light infront of the passenger seat through the second lighter outlet in the armrest and finish building a switch panel for my lights. Now I planning to install two more neon lights for the back seats. Will I overload the lighter outlet?
The purple and blue neon lights look very cherry from the inside and outside.

I dunno on the power outlet...

When I installed mine, I did it with a fuse tap into the fuse box.

Re: Neon Floor Lights

Wow cool, please post some pictures. A footwell light is something I'd definitely like to put on one of these days (years).

I agree with ymckoon: a fuse tap is definitely the way to do this.

Did you wire your footwell relay to work with the dome light's relay by any chance? Just curious.

daverman,

interesting idea. never thought of that before. I think that would be a good idea. I'll probably take a look tomorrow.

I don't have access to a digital camera or scanner now, so the pics will come later on (i hope). Anyone out there that can post pics for Daverman?

When my footwell for the driver side comes in I will want to relay it with the dome light definitely. I can't wait..... It's going to be tight. But I'm a novice with these electronics stuff. Can you explain how to wire the lights by using a fuse tap? Right now i'm getting all the power for my lights from the second lighter outlet.

I've gotten a compliment from every friend that has seen the neon lights, but if you don't like it......different strokes for different folks.

Deeznuts, for the fuse taps, go to Radio Shack and buy them. I'm sure audio stores has them as well. All it is is a piece of metal. One side you stick directly into the fuse hole with the fuse at the same time. The other side, you connect to your wire that connects with the neon light. Sh!t, I wish I had a digital camera so I can show it to you.

Thanks for the advice. I'll try this when my last light comes in. Do you mind if I can e-mail you about installation questions?
Thanks again

Yo Deeeeezzzzz!

Deez - you've seen the pics of my switch panel right? Got 2 switches turning-on my amps right now but all 6 switches have power and I'm gonna use them for blue neon floor lights (front & rear) and trunk neons and maybe some subtle under-car lights

Anyway - I installed a relay and wiring from the battery for my switch panel and using the Acc adapter wire from center console - plus the switch panel has its own 10-amp fuse directly underneath. It's safe so you don't have to worry about burning up the TL or blowing fuses Let me know if you want to wire your setup like I did. Here's a pic in case you didn't see it a few months ago.

Last Night, I was getting mad props from people at the club..... It looks so much better at night....Having a blacklight in the back makes things alittle interesting last night.:p Girls with white panties should avoid seating in the back.....ohhhhhh Hello.........:o

Your switches look tight...damn cherry. You should definitely get some lights. I definitely want to something different than getting my power source of the second lighter outlet. Also I need to figure out a way to hide all those wires.....Thanks

I've been thinking of putting some neons under the seats and the dash. Anyone have any pics?
