need help with the trunk...

I just got this spoiler from Wing west install yesterday.
And now the trunk wont stay open.
Seems like the spoiler made the trunk heavier.
Does anyone know how to fix it?
I looks in the trunk, I don't see any spring to hold the trunk open.

The springs are the two metal rods running accross under the subwoofer. YOu will probably need bigger rods for it to stay open.

Unfortunately the dealership is the only place that carries the stronger truck rod springs.

I got a quote from my Acura dealer for $35.00 for the heavy duty tension rods. But you may find them cheaper online.

Do you think I can replace it myself or I need to bring it to dealership?

If you get the parts on-line, the Honda dealer should be able to install them.

I guess the Honda dealer might be able to get the part too.

But the weird thing is, I called courtesy acura over Orlando.
They say I can buy the rod spring seperatetly for 99 TL model.
I know 99-03 basically is the same car.
I don't know why they sell just for the 99.
