Need Help With Installation! If your in BAY AREA HELP!

Hello, I need some help with installation on my XS headers, CAI, pulley, JL sub+amp. I got a quote from my local tuning store and they said headers it self will cost me $500 because they said it will take 7 hours to do. I told them to go fuck themself but they said cai and pulley would cost about 280$. JL amp+sub will cost me $150-200. Wondering if anyone in NORCAL wanna help out a acurazine member out. Ill pay you to help me. Wanna get my parts on but its gonna be a bitch if its gonna cost 2x more than how much i got it for.

holy crap almot $1000 for that crap? Wow that shop must be horrible.

Headers take about 2 hours, if you run into problems and youre doing it alone. CAI, are you serious? thats a 15 minute job you can do yourself, and have Bst buy install your subs and stuff for like $60, or some other audio store. This tuner ship is stupid, the only thing you might have a real problem doing yourself is the pulley.

I am going to try the CAI installation myself. Headers its gonna be a problem because I had a kit and its hella hard to lift my car up. I need to get those jacks from costco or something. There is no DIY for pulleys right?

Pulley requires something like 600 ft/lbs to remove the bolt, and 207 to retighten. Dont do that yourself unless you know what you're doing.

You can do the headers, get some Rhino stands or whatever for liek $30, make some "steps" up to the ramps using planks of wood stacked on eachother, just go slow.

I use to work at BestBuy in the car audio installation department, we charged $60 for a regular install

ohh damn pulley that crucial? I might just get it installed at a shop or something. Guess i gotta suffer the price. $280. UGH! cost like 2 more than the pulley wtf..

I was actually planning to go to costco and buy that jack and return it after im done since they have that 6 month return policy. LOL [=

Damn where do you live in ? ALabama? $60..thats hella good deal. CALI is expensive ass hell. Circuit city and best buy charge like same price but i found this other store like few hrs away from my house that charge $70 with high lo converter. Sounds cool. LOL is it worth the drive? -_-

best buy is charging you $120. This other place is charging you $70. The difference is $50, which you will probably spend in gas to go to and back to the other place. Not to mention if there is a problem with the install you will have to drive that large distance again to get it fixed. Best Buy sounds like the better choice.

its actually 1 hour drive. But i have this asian place near my house dont know if i should trust it. only less than 5 minute drive ..they charging $80 for installation including high lo converter..but the place im going to was including a nice high lo converter thats set-able. ( dont know if its word or not -__-) and they were planning to mount my amp on my chair for free. the asian place was retarded..called them earlier today and i asked them how much to install headers, they said it would cost $80. then i asked how much to install cai and they said $120. I'm like WTF? cai cost more than headers? LOL! fuckin rediculous

Thats why you pay them afterwards. If they dont do it right, tell them you arent paying until its done correctly.

haha, wrd. We shall see. The headers arent that hard. I did mine in my garage here in Houston. The only thing I'll love about Cali is I can actually do it and enjoy it without sweating like crazy!
