I don't know anything about it but do a SEARCH and you might find something. I know a few people on this site that had the same problem....

Thanks for the help anyways...I did a search and found out most ppl used a tweezers to take it out...which i thought would wreck the cd or the drive in a way. So i went back to my car....and instead of attempting to pull the cd out with force, i inserted a regular Cd into the drive, pushing the stuck cd forward, and it successfully loaded, and finally ejected...i was like PHEW thank god i dun ahve to bring it to the dealer!

Hey AcuraKid, .....If your TL is still under 50k you can take your TL into the dealership and have the deck replaced. The will ask you what is the matter and just tell them that the CD does not eject all the time. Your deck is covered under the bump to bumper warranty. It deoes not matter how many owners the car has past through, as long it is under 50k. Do not tell them that you are using CDRs but that should not matter.

Yeah, and if his dealer is like mine, and the car is over 50K, he would be told that the whole console needed replacing. . .

And if they replace it, what are they replacing the unit with? Another unit that eats CDs? Or a unit that plays burned CDs correctly? I just took my car in today, said that the unit is not playing CDs correctly, and he said "don't use burned CDs" and that was that. It is still under warranty, but he didn't offer to fix it.

all you need to do is turn the radio on. then take another cd and when you switch back to cd mode, push the edge of the cd just so it barely goes in the slot and apply a little pressure downwards and the stuck cd should come out. that is what worked for me (i had a cd-r with a paper label that caused it to get stuck)

Hey BennyPhish, Stock Acura CD players are known not to play/not play CDRs very well. The point that I am making is that, if you have a CD player that does not work, gets stuck, or just plain sucks to your standard, whats the harm in asking for a new HU? It may or may not play your CDRs, but it's new.
