Need help on decision to buy 2002 Type-S

My first post here since selling my 1997 3.2 TL and buying a 2005 Tundra w/ 20" dubs in fall 2005. After being raped with gas prices and 13.5 miles per gallon in the tundra, I found a 2002 silver Type-S with 55,500 miles for $16,300 (lowest she said she would take on it) Kelly BB is $16,950 in good condition.

So how is the average MPG with the 2002 Type-S??

I figure with the difference of the $556 payment now vs $300 payment for the 2002, I would be alot better even if MPG is just 4-5 miles per gallon better.

What kinda MPG am I looking at. thnx

over the past year since I got mine, the lowest I've experience is about 26mpg and my highest is 29. I've always done a mix of city and highway.

Ok, got approved and cut a check for $100 to hold it. Bought it for $16,000 with 55,550 miles on it. Car interior is imaculate. Just a couple door dings and a paint chip that a friend of mine who owns a body shop will take out for free. Car performs better than I expected.

Yes it is, going to start it off really slow . Figured what are my bonus checks each month good for if I cant spend 3 months of bonuses on the car.

Next 30 days, new wheels, tires, body kit, grille, slammed, interior bulbs.

Next month headers, exhaust, intake, strut bars, other engine mods.

The third month - ??? suggestions (but no stereo for now waiting until the dvd nav double dins with 20---30 gig built in are down to $1,500)

Nice choice, ive got an '02 TL-S as well, had it for almost a year and am averaging 25-27 mpg with a fairly even mix between highway and city driving (a little bit more city)

I would 4 sure like the sc, hnvt began to price it w/parts and cost of install. Dont know if I want to run a search until I get the rest of my mods done first. Gotta be 5K right?

Honestly the biggest selling point on getting the TL-S over the Tundra I am selling on cars.com (if anyone wants a gas guzzling truck) is that my girlfriend who has an adversion to the idea of fucking in cars, guaranteed me a rear seat fIIckfest after she saw the back seat of the TL.
