need help with amp wiring kit

need help with amp wiring kit

im in the process of installing my amp/sub. how did you guys run the power wire through the firewall? where did you drill?

the shop that installed the amp for the previos owner ran it through one of the bolt holes on the firewall where there sould be a clutch instead
i would say try and find a grommet with other wires running through it and run it through there

Yeah, there is a grommet to the left of the brake booster. If you reach up above the gas pedal (inside), you'll feel a circle plasticy thing you can pull out, shove a screwdriver through it and you'll see it in the engine bay.

this is where mines routed.. and honestly you could have probably found this answers and others by searching the audio forum first..

got it installed and it sounds awesome. the new deck defi makes the bose speakers a lot better. now i might look into some dynomatting. my spoiler rattles a little

btw: it was not the expanding foam you buy at home depot for expanding insulation, but a heated 2-part foam

would dyno matting have the same end result? im still a little confused as to what u mean by foaming

dynomatting the trunk lid might help some,
but anyways i poured in a liquid foam into the inside of the spoiler, then as that liquid cured, it expands to make foam iniside of the spoiler which fills in all the air gaps,
it stiffens the wing up so it cannot rattle and make noise (when you tap on it with your hand, it sounds solid [like a thump] where before it sounded like a tincan when you tapped on it)
