Finally going to get some Streetz custom work in my ride! The frosted bottom, all around the buttons and PS2 plugs, is going to to light up blue! Hopefully the blue light will come on automagically when the cup holder opens!!! Thanks Ron!

2 are for each of the sunvisor screens, 1 is for the PS2 power, and the other 2 are to be determined...

* If I install footwell lighting, maybe force it on/off (even when the doors are closed).

* Force the rearview mirror (which I don't have yet ) to come on, even when not in reverse (its going to come on automatically in reverse ).

* Make the folding mirrors fold in/out (I still want those mirrors soooo bad! I wonder how hard they'd be to make myself [or have Ron make ]).

* Force the indiglo pedals on/off (even when the headlights are off). This one is just if I can't find anything better.

* Any other gadjetry I can find!

Hey Nate, where did you buy your wood trim from? Is it from Tim?

JeffyTL, yep, I got the wood trim from Tim. Its a combination of the old kit, which Tim doesn't sell anymore, and the new kit, which he currently sells. I took all the pieces I liked out of both. I also bought the '02 TL-S AC wood trim.

Looks nice. I think I will order the kit tomorrow, hehe. Also, the control panel looks sweet.

Nate, you don't have a TL anymore. It's Inspector Gadget's car now.

Well... I wanted the PS2 cd drive in the cupholder but there wasn't enough space. Then we were going to put it in the armrest, but Ron would've had to extend the little wires connecting the brain to the drive... you can see them here:

The brain is in the upper left... see the ribbon cable coming out of it? That connects to the drive, so if we want to mount them seperately we'd have to extend those wires, and that would be too much of Ron's time. My pockets are only so deep!

So... I dunno... where should I put the PS2? Under the seat is kinda ghetto but may be necessary. Anyone have any ideas? I looked at my glove box today but I'm not sure its deep enough for it to fit without modifications. I really want it in the dash, in place of the ghey cd holder... but again we have the problem that the brain and drive have to be so close.

C'mon people!? Any bright ideas!? Heeeelp!

are you talking about the front armrest?
Can you put it in the rear armrest? Can it all fit inside the armrest? when you put the armrest in the down position the cd tray can slide out from the front of the armrest. Am i making sense here?

I was talking about the front armrest... we were going to flush mount the drive in the top part, so you open it up and there she is.

I think the PS2 is too long for it to open out the front... it might fit sideways, but it needs a little ventiliation... I'll have to check the dimensions when I get it back from Ron...

Sh!t totally forgot about the ventilation part. lol. Looks like you got a tough decision on your hands. You can put it easily under the seat (boring) or have ron custom mount it.. (big bucks)
If you decide to spend the money, i would put it in the cd holder like you said.

Nice looking center console. Where did you get those ankle socks, I can't find them anywhere?

I heard they were supposed to make an add on to PS2 for web browsing. Moviefone.com on Navi! Now that would be tight!

YO, just put the main components in the arm rest. Take out the rear ash tray (on the back side of the arm rest). "Rip" off just the front cover to the ash tray and make vents in that. Mount the fan to the inside of that cover and then mount the ash tray back into place. Cut through from the inside of the armrest to the inside compartment of the ashtray so the fan could be next to the main componenets of the PS2 in the inside of your armrest. And put the cd drive in the cd holder in the front.
