Name of the part "condesing or cooling fan?"
I have a 2002 Acura TL and the fan in front of the radiator is not working. It is the Driver’s side fan and I am not sure whether it is called the condenser fan or cooling fan. My car temperature gets above the middle because the fan is not working. If anybody can give me clues or where to start to fix it. I alternated the place of the condenser and cooling fan relays and nothing changes. The passenger’s side fan is still working though. I also checked all the fuses and all of them are good.
Thank you
Thank you

the pass side is the ac condensor fan , controlled by ac compressor on, and in times of severe heat it can backup the main fan
the driver side is radiator cooling fan and is controlled by a sensor at lower pass corner of rad, or at thermostat (iirc thats only 99s at thermo)
very common failure- screws into rad-
find the part with a wire comning from it and you located the part- make sure the wire is connected!!
First ck the rad level and res bottle- and res bottle cap has its hose attched inside?
If level is low it will mess with the fan sensor
Find reason for fluid loss
Otherwise go buy a new fan temp sensor at parts store or thur one of our dealers who support azine and cut us a discount
this is assuming you supplied 12v power from a jumper wire to the fan and it does indeed work?
try spining fan blades with your hand- moves easily or has resistance?--resistance is failure happening

Thanks a lot for your help 01tl4tl
I alternated the harness of the condensor fan with the radiator cooling fan and the cooling fan just worked fine. So, I think the failure from the sensor. Can you help me to find its part number? I looked over different websites and i just don't want to miss ordering a wrong piece.

did you look in our vendor directory for dealers who hook us up?
call them and say: I need a driver side radiator fan temp sensor for an 02- the one in the rad
I dont trust myself on those diagrams with these old eyes~
or call a parts store or local dealer, let the parts pros do their job

As 01 stated, look through the vendors list for our dealer/vendors...They should hook you up with a discount...
And, if you go to your dealership parts dept enough, they hook you up with discounts as well, just talk to them everytime and they start to remember you.
