is my tranny going?

for the 1st time 2day i heard a strange noise...i had my windows up n no music playing...from a dead stop i gradually accelerated the car...from gears 1-2...mayb 3...i hear a grinding sound...it wasnt like a high pitched grinding sound that ull hear from some1 shifting wrong...this was like deep sounding grind...clunk clunk clunk...n its only from 1-2 mayb 3...its most noticable from a dead stop...its really hard to hear it clearly due to the xhaust....but its there...what is weird is that i had my crank pulley installed yesterday...mayb they did something wrong...or is it kuz of a broken engine mount?...kuz i do know i have 1 broken engine mount...

It could be anything - brake calipers, a plastic cover that's rubbing because it wasn't put in place right after your pulley installation, etc.

Since it's at slow speeds (i.e. dead stop), pop your hood and have someone walk next to the car while you drive slowly to identify the source of the noise more precisely.

agreed. If that doesnt work try
jacking it up and inspect every thing to see if any thing is rubbing anywhere, If possible to get both wheels of teh ground put it in neutral and spin the tires by hand to see if you can reproduce teh sound

took it to the dealership for a quick road test n the guy said that it might not b the tranny...but he wouldnt b surprised if that was the problem...just kuz when i go slow then u hear it...but when i was driving the car hard the tranny had no problem shifting the gears...so im gona b taking it in again on monday so they can rack it up n run it while its up to locate the problem...hope its not the tranny...but i sorta do want it to b the tranny just so i can have a new 1...lol...

So here's a question on whether my tranny is going or not. I'm on my 4th one already. This current one was changed about 1000 miles ago. Going forward, everything is fine, shifts good. But if I'm going to back into a spot, I can't get into reverse. It rolls forward as if I had a manual then CLUNKS into reverse. Tranny problem?
