my TL noises...

alright ppl just a couple of questions
got me Tl used last year been running fine and everything i love em to death amazing car (as we all kno)

noise #1
when you first start up your car and you make a first turn do you ever hear a mechanical sound for a split second (best way to describe would be like a mechanical arm moving) and it makes the sound twice when i first turn the wheel and when i turn the wheels back to the straight position

normal? yes/no

noise#2
so i have an intake on mine and my idol sound is pretty loud...everyone says it is and brother even tells me he can hear me down the street...its not a bad sound at all (i like it) its just a hum thats a little loud

normal? yes/no

You sure noise #1 isn't just the ABS check? One buzz at 5mph and then another at 15mph.

my noise that sounds like a motor humming isnt my mirror. i watch it closely. oh well no one says anything about it though haha. my friend suggested trying to buy a cheap "tornado" from ebay and using it to see if itll cut down the hum. anyone try that?

i have noise #1 on my 03 tl-s too. it's kinda like a 1 second vibration sound, right? its usually when im going like 5mph.. and sometimes ill hear the 1 second sound back to back (so 2 times instead).

if this is the abs check sound, what's the point of it?

i'm glad i'm not the only one experiencing this sound, i was like wtf when i first heard it..

Don't waste your money. If those things had any value then car manufacturers would have paid the inventor millions and put them in every car.

I have this noise coming from the rear end of the drivers side. Its like a ticking noise at idle. I dont kno if it is the exhaust making the noise or if it is just the cold that is making my car make the ticking noise. Any ideas?

Probably the Evap canister. Very common problem. You can replace it or just live with it. I think there are a lot of members with this problem.
