By By Motor time to begin the 3.5 conversion

Well unfortuatly last week my timming somehow jumped and my piston and valves in my 6 chamber had some fun. Pieces of my valve were everywhere and my piston is nice and scrathced. So for now i dropped another tl-s motor that i got from the junkyard so i can get around. So my plan right now is to go 3.5 I already have begun to give my friend my intake manifold, intake runners and my heads so he can port and polish everything and we can rebuild and repair the heads too. He also plans on giving me a 3 angle valve job. So once i get everything back im going to order the p2r bigger plenum and try to get a bigger throttle body. Then order the 3.5 block and decided what pistons i want and what route i wanna take from there. I did some searching but how many member here have done the 3.5 swap

Theres quite a few accords that have done it, more than us...

I love how many of us are doin swaps and stuff right now, its like the Herp.

IIRC, I thought Kris isn't doing the 3.5.

But yea I have to agree, alot of conversions/swaps are becoming more common.

You must not have caught the memo of me saying i sent out the 3.5 crank to be knife edged, and the rods to be shot peened and every thing zero balanced. (im hoping for 6-8 lbs to be taken off)

Either I saw it and forgot, or I'm just out of it today.

I have a 3.5L block from an Odyssey (J35A1) sitting here... I'd let it go for cheap.

Let me know if you're interested! (by PM)

Not a bad idea, just plan on building the top end if you plan to spray. Would be good insurance.

if you are going to be spraying nawz you will want to build the top end. probably PnP the heads and use Type-s cams.

If you're going to spray I wouldn't use RL pistons, you're begging to detonate. I'd stick with type-s pistons if you're going that route

just my

How often do you plan on spraying? Wet kit?

Look into KMS valvetrain and a blockguard would be ideal. I'm sorry I'm a safety freak when it comes to this stuff.

With the J35 block you will need to either run CL-S pistons or RL pistons otherwise the valves will *kiss kiss* using the Type-S heads.

my boy already started to port and polish my heads along with my intake manifold and runners and i planed on sticking with my stock type-s cams. Spraying if i did would only be used on track or once in a while on the street
