U can tow it like that. Theirs a parking claw that goes between teeth of a gear. That's how the car doest move when its on a steep hill. All u do when u tow a fwd like that is bflat spot the tires. All they need to do is drive it far enough till its safe and pop the door open and throw it in neutral then continue towing. Now if u tow ans awd car like that, u will caise major damage

that show can get intense sometimes, i saw a glimpse of the episode.

 

^^ if the parking paul/lock was engaged, then u would be towing the car with the wheels locked and the tires are binding against the surface. that parking paul only locks the output shaft. if u tow it in neutral, the input shaft is not rotating

because of that the oil pump being splined to the torque converter, is not generating fluid flow to the tranny gears, and pretty much drying the internals up. if towing always request them to use dollies or fwd=front wheels up, rwd=rear wheels up, awd=all wheels up

 

That is a dump show. They unlawfully attack, wrestle, assault civilians, tresspassing properties, use pepper spray assaulting people. So, they just come to any property, take anything they want and call it repo, tackle, pepper spraying people, and drive away. I don't think that is repo, that is stealing, I hope they get shot for stealing and trespassing properties. Don't pretend to show the toilet paper on that board. I wished someone would buy an expensive car, not making payment, and let them come in for a fat meal.

 

Show seems pretty real to me. I mean it says it really right in the begining of the show.

I know a repo man myself my old neighbor and he said there are times that you have to do certain things because people are crazy. The have the right to do that you dont pay your car note or whatever your getting your shit took.

the other week i seen one where the young guy was beat to a pulp and couldnt help but laugh.. b/c they arent really taking cars.. they are reinacting repo stories.. they went to far with the bloody scabby face lol

 

So, I guess you didn't watch the other shows. Many times they open the gates, climb over the gates, open garage doors. That is stealing and trespassing, not repo. Not to mention Assaults and physical contacts on people's properties. There are laws for not making payments. I guess they haven't met Hulk Hogan yet. Those guys are life threatening to anybody, and anyone could act as self defense on their properties.

Like towing trucks, you can tow any illegal parking cars, but that does not give you the right to damage any illegal parking car. You can tow, but you will pay if you caused damages. Same goes for repo, do what you need to do, but steal, assault, trespassing will not be ignored by the law.

 

some of this is true.. but as far as damages to the car, not so much.
repo companies are paid by whomever wants the car reposessed (bank, loan agency etc: ) and are offered a cut of the worth of the backed payments or even the worth of the car in some cases. if any damage is caused.. it comes out of their cuts but nobody is paying out of pocket..

and although their are limitations to when they can take your car. they are most certainly allowed to come onto your property to reposess. they cant damage your property.. but they can swipe cars boats and trucks right off your lawn. with no legal penalty

 

It's usually right in the sale contract. If you don't pay, they can take your car. It's not stealing because you agree to pay them. When you don't pay them YOU are stealing because you are not holding up your end of the deal. The trespassing issue I'm not sure about but it's definitely not stealing if you aren't making the payments. I actually watched a repo happen across the street. The lady was screaming and hollering, "YOU CAN'T TAKE MY CAR, THAT'S STEALING!!" The tow truck guy ignored her. She called the cops and they never came. It was funny as hell to watch.

It is actually a really good show, a lot of action. l0l.
My uncle drives for a limo company and they weren't paying the bills for a certain limo, so the repo company set up a fake job for him to do with that certain limo. The job was to take 5 models to a photoshoot, and when he came out of the bathroom at the location, the limo was gone. He called the company and the police and the police said that they were forewarned about the re-po!

 

I'm still making payments on my 2000 TL (bought used). I'm in the process of buying a house right now and as soon as I get my $8000 tax credit, I'm paying the loan off. Then I'll only have to worry about the mortgage and related bills.
