i used Maguiars(spelling?) polishing compound, and wax i had at home, and nothing changed. now that look more at the area it looks more like scratches. would scratchX take care of it, or not

I used a very light 2000 grit wet sand and it came off easily.

rubbing compound and a hand buffer.

It'll be gone. then polish.

Holy shit your paint needs some serious correction. That would be one hell of a job. Who ravaged your car before you bought it....if that's just a portion of the trunk and rear bumper I can't imagine what the rest of the car looks like...jesus.

as weird as this sounds, to debadge mine i used,

a hair dryer to warm up the adhesive, then used waxed dental floss to get the emblem off.

to get the adhesive off, i periodically heated it up, dabbed it with rubbing alcohol, then tried rubbing it off.
after a while, i got impatient and just used water and my thumb nail.

after i got all the ahesive off, i waxed the area twice and now it's like nothing was even there. i'm happy with how it turned out even tho the method i used was a big unorthodox haha
