Moonroof visor
For those of you with the moonroof visor, how difficult is it to install and remove? Do you remove it every time you wash your car? If not every time you wash your car, how frequently?

You guys crack me up!
The moonroof visor is held on by two clips. It can be removed anytime. The only thing that stays on the car is two really small pieces of vinyl tape (clear) that keep the brackets from rubbing directly on the paint. the tape is hidden when the visor is on, and barely noticable if you look for it when the visor is off. Mine came off in a touchless car wash, so I dont use it anymore.

Yup the install is painless, no drilling required. The only thing is that if you keep it on for a while without ever taking it off, dirt and sand can get under it and essentially sand away the paint in the area that the visor touches the paint. This happened on my last Accord with the OEM visor. When I wanted to take the visor off, I really didnt want to leave it off since the paint in the contact areas was so bad.
If you are getting one I would recommend getting a strip of the X-pel stuff used for the clear bras and cutting a piece to match the curve of the visor and putting that in between the visor and the paint. If not that then at least several good coats of wax applied every now and then when you wash the car in case you ever want to get rid of the visor.
Install and removing involves two screws thats it.

Had a visor on my 94 Accord with no problems.
It was factory & was put on the car when I purchased it new. I had the car until I got my TL in late 99. So for 6yrs no problems just wash up there good. I got it on my TL also I never have taken anything off.

yeah i just took off the moon roof visor from my 91 accord and slapped it on my TL....looks JUST like the original!
anyway, when washing u don't need to remove it, but u might have to wipe duner it since at the car wash the "scrubbers" can't reach under there.
as for how it's held in place
it's 2 clips. once end is screwed with the visor, and the other end is attached to the moonroof...it's like a hook that hooks underneath the roof..bah hard to explain
anyway...I find that it makes the car more sporty and reduces wind noise like crazy ... I'd say it reduces sound by 70% ...very worth while if u find that the moonroof causes too much noise.
good luck on your moonroof!
