Just called around to all of the BMW dealers in my area and the cheepest price I got was 144. The most expensive was 194. Can someone give me an idea of how much it would cost to paint this spoiler?? Thanks.

I have one too and will be putting it on this weekend, in time for the PAA meet. It's the M5 lip spoiler, and I bought it from BMW of Glendale in CA and it was around $115 shipped. I then took my spoiler as well as some other pieces and had everything painted to match factory for around $200. The install is very easy..... shouldn't take more then 15 min. You just need to buy some 3M tape to install it. You should be able to get that from the dealer or an autoparts store for under $10. Here are the directions for the spoiler..... they are the same for the TL....

Just called and ordered my spoiler from Pacific BMW in Glendale. 104 + tax and $12 shipping. About $125. Even if you live local, the guy told me they are required to ship it. Like I said above, the cheapest I found in Orange County was 144 at Irvine BMW. Can't Wait!

to get the spoiler painted, can someone just use the spray touch-up paint at paintscrach.com. It looks like the spoiler does not have that much area to paint...
how are the touch-ups at that website anyway...i would like to try it since someone scratched my driverside door.

I just called my local BMW dealer - $144 plus $11 or so for the tape. They also have one on Ebay for $129 plus $10 s/h. I think I'll pay the extra couple of bucks and just buy locally.
What a great mod - under $250 painted!
Plus no holes to drill - a bonus since I'm leasing this car

What if you already have the OEM spoiler on your car and you'd perfer to have the smaller M5 spoiler? I know that they drilled into my truck lid to attach the OEM; would the M5 spoiler cover these holes or possibly even use the existing holes to attach? The OEM spoiler bothers me a bit as it is so large. Mike Harvey, my local dealer, has said that to remove the OEM spoiler, they'd have to replace the trunk lid...too expensive for my tastes. Covering the holes with the M5 might just be what I'm looking for. Thanks! Ben

The M5 spoiler is just what I'm looking for! It's great-looking on a TL in that's it's not too flashy like the OEM spoiler, and most importantly, I don't have to drill any holes!
Thank you for this post.
Thank you for this post.

Does anyone read this
So how do I get the right paint for the spoilers to match my car. My car is a 99TL in Silver. Does anyone know the paint code. Also do these M5 spoilers come painted already and I have to paint over it?
