The Lowered Ride Comfort Thread

I've been on a mission to improve lowered ride comfort. There are so many little things you can do, it's not funny. Please post tricks, mods, and various upgrades to increase ride comfort.

* New Engine Mounts
* New CV Joints
* New Frontend Bushings
* New Shocks (assuming you only bought springs)

please add to this list...

We can provide the same info. It's not like it's model specific...

~Cheers~

P.S. But yes, tires are very important for little bumps.

more specifically, HUGE tires. Even the softest lowpros get flatspots overnight and mess with comfort.

yeah tires can have a HUGE effect on ride quality, but more specificlly is what pressure you have them running at (cheap to change too), make sure they are not too high, or too low for safty issues too,

but also geneally speaking the more sidewall a tire has the softer it rides (there are also differences in tire construction that affect ride quality too,

you can also get them balanced by a roadforce balencer (it is a Hunter machine) to balance your tires while they are under a load versus just in free air, which can also help spot out of road tires and such

also having a set of quality tires helps tremendisly versus cheapo tires

straight rims (unbent) rims help too, but it is mainly for steelies though

Shocks and tires play the largest roll in ride comfort. How low you actually are does too. My koni Yellows and H&R sports ride just like stock, the only place you notice a difference are larger dips in the road. I have 235/40/18 Nitto invos are a quite and smooth riding tire

I have heard bad things about Nitto tires.

What do you think about them?

I heard santa is real.

They have been a phenomenal tire. I cant comment on their other tires. The invo has been great so far. I have 25k miles on them and a lapping day. They are maybe half worn. Great in the rain, very quiet, handle great, very predictable. They have a softer sidewall but hold on good. I can also say they make a great drag radial as a friend has them on his 500whp mustang and they grip hard.
