So i just got the whip and when i come to a stop it idles low and comes back to normal idle. What can cause this? The car does have HIGH millage 167,xxx. It will also do this when i rev up and let off the pedal. Its a 2002 TL-S if that helps.

 

have the plugs ever been changed? May be a good place to start, along with a good seafoaming and cleaning of the EGR ports and the IACV

 

Idle Air Control valve dirty, and ck the plugs etc
Have a read of the seafoam thread in DIY - newer pages for best info- 20 bucks for 2 cans is money well spent. makes car run like new!

167 is barely broken in on the engine internals, these will go 300 kMiles no sweat if cared for-
You do need to know if the timing belt was replaced at 105-

run seafoam thru oil before next change and drive a bit to remove years of sludge buildup
