Arrow 3rd time changing 02 Sensors - Whats wrong?

So I've got an 02 TL-S with a Tanabe Super Hyper Medallion Exhaust, OBX Headers, AEM CAI, and a High Flow Cat...

In the past year I've constantly had codes P0138, P0141 along with a few other ones I cant remember right now.

I've changed the damm 02 sensors like 3 times already, and each time everything works good for a few months, and the CEL comes back on with the same damm codes, Bank 1 Sensor 2 saying something about high voltage

The first replacement 02 sensor I got was Bosch, not the crappy universal one, but the one that plugs in. The CEL never went away for that one, so I ended up going to a cheap mechanic who put in a cheap plug in 02 sensor that actually made the CEL go away. It lasted until I was driving on the highway and a huge metal pole fell off the back of a truck and I ended up driving right over it cause didn't have time to avoid it...ripped the 02 sensor right out, and took 2 of my rims with it.

I then put in some other OE replacement sensor which worked for about 6 months...and now I got CEL P0138 + P0141, on top of all that my exhaust is making a very loud humm, almost sounding like a vacuum cleaner, I was at an exhaust shop a couple of weeks ago, and there was a leak in the middle area, but it was fixed up by tightening the bolts.

So now I'm getting ready to get new sensors but want to make sure that the core problem is fixed. I'm inclined on getting Denso sensors, # 234-4727 & # 234-4261

Anybody got any ideas on what else could be causing this very annoying issue?

OEM from acura are made by Denso, only difference is if you buy them from acura then you pay like 3 times more, I found both of them for $110 shipped online...

give Josh at Excelerate a call or PM with specs and prob- he knows this stuff.
plus you had a leak- thats going to screw with several sensors and you may need a obdi that clears codes or try an ecu reset by pulling the CLOCK fuse
passenger side in cabin-#12 or 13 iirc- remove for a minute

Many people have to use a `spark plug oil protector` 5 bucks at parts stores- for the O2 sensor- its a tube that moves the spark plug out slightly from normal and covers its end to protect from oil dripping off bad valve seals--causing fouling
its old school car fix for chevy problems

With the increased flow rate you may be fooling the sensors so this shroud compensates and slows the air

i seen aftermarket bosch and denso give problems to people with 98-02 accords, even on other makes and models when i was working at a private shop. as soon as they replaced it with an oem one it fixed the problem.

alright, i guess i'll have the shop take a closer look at the exhaust from beginning to end

Also, Denso is the OEM company used by Acura for the 02 sensors, so I dont see how it should cause any problems, whether i buy them from acura for like triple the price or online and save some money....

you can still get a bad part, but it should not happen very often though, especially with a denso part

theres nothing wrong with the sensors. the high flow cat is tripping them which means they work. get a defouler and your problems will go away

5 bucks or so for the anti fouler from any parts store in your town
If your tech cant figure out which ones need replacement and that they need the anti fouler- go somewhere else!
like a place that WORKS ON HONDAS AND ACURA NORMALLY

Our car ONLY has 2. One is before the cat and ones is at the cat. This diagram isnt a accurate representation of our system.

Do you have a different cat on the car? Your cat may be causing the issue. Even if your stock it may be the problem. Your ECU may also be the problem.
