Love the sound of your CAI?

I love the sound, but it has it's toll, almost. Alright, so I feel the need to hear my CAI. I was starting from the corner of the main drag in the University of Memphis where I am dropping my girlfriend off. Im listening to the singing vtec when I see the lights. COPS. He pulls me over and asks if I know what the speed limit is. I say no, I don't go here. He says it is 25 and I was doing fifty. I abliged and he proceeds to take my liscence. Then he asks if this is my car, I say off course and tell him it is in my dad's name. He walks back to his car and I start up a little conversation with my girlfriend. I am asking her how he was clocking me without my new Passport 8500 going off. Then I start to wonder how I could possibly be doing fifty in 1ST GEAR. He comes back a good fifteen minutes later and hands me my liscense and tells me to have a good day. Cops are retarded, they don't believe an 18 yo could possibly have a good car. I think he was jealous. Waste of my time. BTW, does anyone know the max speed of first gear?

That's the main reason why I didnt get a CAI yet. I want to get rid of the points off my license, then I will get it. BTW, 1st gear only last like 2-3 seconds. You'll probably get to 10mph till it automatically shifts to 2nd gear. You could go up to 65 in 2nd gear in SS.

70 to be exact before you reach the rev limiter (done it a few times and held it to make sure it was 70). BTW I love your AT s5's....I'm a huge fan of those rims.

According to my calculations using rpms/gear ratio/final drive and using the stock tires, I foudn that first gear can only hit 46.12 and that is at 7000rpms. So in a real world situation first gear can probably go to about 38mph. Also, the passport 8500 detects instant on, and having a cobra xr1010 for over a year, I have never seen the laser go off. I don't think many police in memphis use laser. Plus, laser is usually not shot while in the car. Also, it takes more than two seconds to correctly aim a laser. It isn't as easy to use as radar, however it is much more accurate, especially from distance.

I agree with fahoumh, it takes just one to ruin it....but some cops have good taste. When I was in my accident last month, the cop who was running my case told he loved Acuras, especially TLs and the NSX, wanted to save some money to buy one. He was sorry that I bashed mine up...not as sorry as I was, though! I invited him to the site....who knows, he may even be lurking.

I have met some awesome cops in my day. I even spent an hour talking to one who told me he was thinking of putting two 12's in his trunk. He told me about the guys who had to get shot before they could use rubber or bean bag bullets. Some however are just power hungry. They love to flaunt there power.
