Hey i was wondering if anyone knows where I can find a new key fob cover? Mine is broken and I can't carry it around on my key any more so I just need the black cover, and I will swap the internals into it. I can't seem to find any on ebay either. There is just the cover but not with a trunk button, and the other ones are 50-100$, regular key fobs that I don't need

 

Is it just the hole your key ring goes through that's broken? That's what happened to mine and I filled in the hole with 3m plastic repair, sanded it down and drilled a new hole. Been holding strong for 6 months.

 

I had the same problem. Never could find just the casing though. Ended up getting a replacement and I got a gelskin cover from the honda dealership. Dont have that problem anymore.

 

yea that's whats broken, the key hole. but the whole thing looks beat to shit. Previous owner tried to glue it back together or something so it looks like shit. What is this 3M plastic repair? I might just try that. Thanks guys.

It is just specifically made to bond well with plastic. All body shops use it. Any auto parts store will have similar product. Even a strong glue will work. Just make sure to sand down the part of the fob you are applying it to. Helps it hold better.

 

What happens if you need to change the battery?
