Hey fellas I got a problem....My Check Engine Light was coming on ever after the dealer supposedly fixed it, so I disconnected my battery and the engine light went off, so thats good...but now the light around the shift knob is not on and im not sure why or what i can do, and its hard to see what gear im putting it into witht he light being there (I know I can see the gear in the dashboard but still)..any suggestions, thanks!

Try hitting it. Mine goes on/off when I slap the area around it.. although I think lately its gone out permanently.

 

its a tiny little bulb under the shift plate, mine would work when i hit it then not at all. I took the whole center console out and replace that damn little bulb and it came right back on and still works to this day. good luck w/ the console and have patience

 

you too huh. i was so mad after taking every thing apart just to find it started working as soon as i got to it

 

opps,, no I ment that I replaced the bulb, then it worked fine(not intermittently)

mine must have never worked...I didn't even know it was suposed to light up until ya'll mentioned it...
