Left Head light out!!!!!!

My front left head light low beam and high beam are both out. There's condensation in the light assembly. The fuse is good. Both bulbs look good. What can it be??????? Btw this is on my 2002 TL-S. HEEEEELP!

Ballast? If you can, switch the left and right to see if the problem carries over. I'm not sure if they are interchangeable though.

It could be the exclamation points.

Just cause bulbs "look" fine doesn't mean they are, just swap the bulbs and ballast around to figure out whats not working.

Just because they "look" good doesnt mean they are. I would fix the condensation issue before anything. Swap bulbs from the other side and see if it works.

Ehhh, hi beam and low beam went out at the same time? Doubt it's the bulb.

MOISTURE inside the housing
c'mon guys we all know exactly what that means,,

that water drips out the wiring hole on bottem of the housing, onto the non-waterproof ballast- eventually killing it
the `controller` (capacitor) box also suffers the same fate- internal rust and circuitry dont like each other

the best option is a complete new HID kit, our sponsor www.hidextra.com is a good place to start looking. See the many other headlight threads for more details
under 100 bucks with the optional relay kit ~16$ for better power to the new setup

a used OE ballast with the same probles will cost more than a kit!
the kit has 2 bulbs, 2 ballast, 2 connector wire/ (capacitor)

the high beam bulb is a normal halogen type available at any parts store
If it failed from moisture, that really points to ballast prob for low beam

in fairness to proper diagnosing:
swap the fuses and relays, see if the problem solves it self or follows one of those parts.
remove the hi beam bulb- iirc, you can change that from the rear of housing
the lows and kit require removal of bumper cover- no big deal

there are spare fuses in the fuse block and those tweezers are for removal-install of the fuses
relays of the same color are ok to swap to test

This exact scenario happened to me less than a month ago. My housing was leaking just as yours so I had to replace the housing (or you can re seal it, DIY here on AZ) and replace the ballast. Luckily my friend owns a dismantler, so I pick up a used oem housing in marvillous condition for cheap. Then instead of buying an oem ballast I repalced both with 5000k D2R kit from our sponsor HID Extra. Common problem in our TLs and many threads on this. Whole job took me 3 hours including installing HIDs in the fogs.

If you decide to replace the oem ballast. I have one for sale in the black market or you can just PM. It still works and have pictures to show for it.

Either way, your driverside ballast has to go... Or I guess it could be cleaned??? There's a DIY on that too
