Key Fob code

Where exactly would I look for the remote code on my car? I didn't get any of the remotes when I bought the car. I called the CS line and they of course referred me to the dealer. I plan to get one off ebay so I don't get taken for a ride at the dealer.

BTW, I searched and didn't really come up with the answer.

I think the remotes are "learning remotes". I received some unsolicited advice from a salesman about a month ago...A series of presses of the lock button with the key on....

Some of the seller selling the remotes offer programming instruction upon purchase. Watch out for those that don't because you will end up visiting your dealer.

Actually I wasn't referring to "programming" the remote. I found the instructions for that. I need to know where to look to find the FCC or whatever it's called thats on the back of the remote that I don't have. I don't want to end up buying an imcompatable remote off ebay.

Thanks

Subscribing... Same scenario for me, The Dealer doesn't have the remotes for my purchase either.

What do you mean by subscribing? Do you mean just taking a chance and buying one?
