Jacking up car
Question; I want to put my 03 TL S up on four jack stands. Where do I raise the front and rear end with a floor jack ? I know there are four jack points that are used to normally to fix flats but want to lift the entire car off the floor.

Proper floor jack points found!!
I figure it out. Had a brainstorm... went to the dealer and asked the service department where the jack points where for floor jack application; first, there is a jack point just behind thr radiator on the frame and one in the rear where the tow hook is, in fact on the rear you use the tow bar hook as the jack point. While I there, they jack up a Acura to show me that it works. So, there are jack points for floor jacks. :hitit:
damn, im glad someone posted this because the first time i tried to jack my car up bout 3 weeks ago (ive only had the car about 2 months), i couldn't find the jack points and i was thinking i was going crazy. thanks for the tips!

I once put the jack next to the front jackpoint, coz I didn't believe the metal edge on the jackpoint can stand the weight of the car.
The position is like in the following: :think:
|
___car_________ ______|
||------
||
|| <----jack
------
======================= groud
Did I cause any damage to the frame or not?

can't tell. Because what is under our doors are some materials like bumper plastic, they restore to the original shape after you remove the jack, but i don't know if the metal wrapped by the plastic is dented or not.

I've got a 3-ton floor jack from Sears that has a lift of 19 3/4" and it will get one set of wheels off the ground to put stands under but when you jack up the other end (front or rear) by the time the opposite tires coem off the ground the first set of tires are once again touching the ground (the teeter-totter effect). I need a jack that goes up to 25".
