IS300.net: TL is .5 sec slower to 60 than IS300
There's a comparo chart on the site, and it has the 0-60 for the TL as 7.5 while the IS300 is listed as 7.0.
There's a note saying that different sources were used for the figures, but C'MON, MAN!!!
Here's the chart: http://is300.net/compare.html
------------------
'01 WDP TL
Momo shift, wing, tint, Whistler 6-band.
'88 White RX-7 Convertible
BBS, Kenwood 'Flip-face,' Fosgate Fanatic 4.9, Fosgate 8", Boston Acoustics.

actually we might very well loose on the track, but from green light to red light light, not very likely. besides theres much more to a car than just handling....such as comfort, fuel economy, ohh and by the way, ...the is300 use the supra engine... so their actually using a engine from 1992, i aint ganna pay $37.000 for a 1992 engine

From Clueless person on IS300 site:
Data in italics are guesstimated.
Data in italics are guesstimated.
And if you take a look, the 7.0 listed for the IS300 is really 7.0.
Okay buddy, if we're gonna 'guesstimate' like that the TL does 5.9 0-60
90% of the independent sources out there got 7.5's or higher, most got about 7.8's for the IS.

What a bunch of nimrods over there. I can't find a source that gives better than 7.1 0-60 for an IS. Is that how it works? Pay $37 G's and you can start pulling numbers out of your a$$?

There is no point for Acura-TL to stoop to is300.net's level of immaturity by doing the same thing as them...
In fact, I would go over there and start a post like, "Wow, Nice 0-60 times!" and give the IS300 people mad props and build up their egos... that way when one of those stupid fools see a TL on the street and gets smoked, who is gonna feel stupid then?

It gets better:
"The weight of the IS300 was derived from the weight of the IS200 (2971) plus 55. 55 pounds is the difference in weight between the GS300 and the GS400. (Rev 1.7)"
Well, the GS400 is 100 more GS'es than the GS300, and 100 GS'es weigh 55 lbs. So I figure 100 IS'es must weigh about 55 lbs.
This morning, I crapped in 6.2 seconds. Therefor, my TL has a 0-60 of 6.2.
The only problem is, the guy running IS300.net is saying all this with a straight face.
UPDATE: In fairness to IS300.net, I noticed right after I wrote this that he later put in the correct weight for the IS300... In fairness to me, it was a lot more than 55 lbs

Grish, that fool Tony and his little crew of moderators are all idiots. Anytime you post something even resembling criticism they delete it. If you say something they don't like they delete it. They are a pretty sorry bunch of losers.
