Maybe on the highway cause of the less restrictive air flow, but overall probalby not cause you will always be flooring it to hear the new VTEC sound!!!

Cheepest sound improvement - remove your intake resonator then add a K&N filter, or get a SRI for the best sounds.
MAX HP improvement would be a AEM V2 if it fits your car or a CAI.

The improvements will be little between the different types, thats why when I get a new intake, I will get the Short Ram cause it has the most sound and easy of cleaning for the filter.

Oh yeah..........I gotten 25-28 mpg w/ a K&N drop in filter. After CAI, I floor the car too much........looking at 15-22 mpg lol. When I want to, I can get the car to about 25-28 mpg again tho. No milage gain tho.

I opted for the quiet route and went with the comptech. Improvement in performance, I didn't notice any loss of mpg.

I installed the Comptech Icebox last fall and have not noticed any change in mpg at all.

I installed a short air ram instead. I got a 1-2 mpg savings.
