Installed Comptech sway bars . . . (review)
I finally got a chance to put in the Comptech sway bars into my car this past weekend after having it sit in the living room for close to 2 weeks (I'd like to thank Tim for the speedy delivery). The install itself for the sway bars was very easy, and I estimate it took me about a half-hour for each end. I made it harder on myself by installing a rear Eibach camber kit at the same time (due to some stubborn bolts). After taking the car to the local tire place to get an alignment, I finally got a chance to test out the sway bars. (I should note that I'm riding with a 2" drop on Apex'i coilovers and stock alloys and tires). My car now handles real great, reduced lean when making quick lane changes and carving out high speed turns. With my current setup, the weakest link is now even more apparent -- the stock tires. Even with the tires showing some wear (due to negative camber for the past few months), the sway bars made a big difference in performance. The car is definitely more fun to drive. Next upgrade -- wheels & tires.

I also installed my Comptech sway bars about 3 weeks ago and am still enjoying the flatter cornering. Its such a big difference with less body roll. You're absolutely right about the stock tires not sticking well. Its very obvious now that the rubber needs to be changed.
Just a tip for those considering sway bars: 1) the ride quality does not appear to suffer on bumpy roads (due to the left side suspension affecting the right side on pot holes or right side affecting left on right side pot holes).
2) steering response is better and body roll while turning is flat and secure
3) I concur that the installation is easy. The Helm manual doesn't very explicitly state the procedure to remove sway bars, but there is a photo of the "dog bone" dual hinge between the sway bar and the lower control arm with the hole in the bolt (look at it from the front looking rear). A 14mm box wrench and the hex to hold the screw in position is all you need for the fronts. 12mm box on the rear with hex.
I elaborate on the technique, since when I asked my Acura dealer, then said to pop the dog bones off and replace them (since they typically break). Only the top half needs to be simply unscrewed to remove the front sway bar. Hope this helps someone save some time and money to get flatter cornering than the TL Type S (which sways are improved, but I believe the Comptech sways have less body roll).

How hard is it to do yourself on a scale of 1-10? I don't mind paying the extra $ to have someone do it, but if it's relatively simple, I would like to save that $ towards future mods.
