idle problem

ok so while im driving, the car runs perfectly fine... but once i come to a stop the car idles extremely low and it sputters a little bit like its about to turn off, but it doesnt. has anyone had this problem?

i have an AEM CAI and its been raining a lot lately, but i havent gone over ANY puddles whatsoever, but the reason im mentione i have the aem cai... the first time i started the car after i put it in the CAI, it felt exactly the same... the rpm's dipped very low and it sputtered the same way but then they climbed up to normal. this was like 7 or 8 months ago though.

so anyone have a clue?

Primary O2 sensor or idle air control valve.

In my opinion, it's probably the O2 sensor dying. How many miles on the car w/ what mods?

Some problem, but I only felt this when cold. I will be trying some fuel injection cleaner to see if this helps.

My post is here.

my only engine mod is an aem cai. the transmission is shifting like crap... but it has been for quite some time already and this problem just started recently. it happens to me regardless if the car is warmed up or not.

Idle problem solved

Hello, I had the exact problem with a very low idle. The dealer replaced the EAC valve and all is well ever since. Part number 16022P8AA03 Valve set, RAC.

Good luck!

Had a similar thing happen.

At speed, let up on the gas, then revs go way down.

I took it in, and they couldn't get it to replicate. They ended up 'checking' the transmission.

Someone else thought it might be the torque converter.

Anyway, they didn't 'fix' anything on it, but it hasn't happened since.
