I think I'm in trouble
Hi, I cleared my headlights a little over a month ago, I had no problems until 2 weeks ago, I washed my car and noticed moisture in both my headlights all of the sudden(they had been through rain and washes before) I stopped using my headlights, but it was too late my driver side had gone out. I checked the fuse box under the hood and the fuse was fine so I ordered some 6000K bulbs to replace the stock bulbs, but it still wont light up.
What else could be wrong and can I fix it? Any help would be great, thanks.

How bad was the moisture inside? I had moisture in my lights too and it was there for a few months. But my lights still work. Since you ordered the 6000k and it still doesn't work then it probably means your ballast is dead. Too bad your warranty is voided since you cleared your lights.
BTW, what about the passenger side light? It will probably go out too. Your best bet is to open it up again, dry everything off, and re-seal them really good. That's what I did and it is working so far.

the day after I saw the moisture I dryed them out and resealed them, now there is no leaks or moisture in them and there hasnt been for about two weeks. If my ballest is dead can i get a replacement? Honestly I just dont want to go to acura feeling like a ****, "here I messed up fix it for me" plus they would keep my car forever and charge me an arm and a leg. The passenger side one is fine and worked great with the new bulb.
Is the ballest the metal plate housing on the light or the black thing that plugs into the bulb?

my first sentence was "I cleared my headlights..."
I think it is the ballast because I tried hooking it up to the other side and it still woudn't light. Is there somewhere I can get a replacement?

the other alternative is to get an aftermarket hid kit and replace the ballast......there is a group buy for 350 right now on groupbuys.com ...u can prolly sell the 6000k bulbs that it comes with it to re coupe some of your cost .... id say u can an easy 100 bucks for the bulbs.
ouch, one of my cleared headlights gets some moisture in it (ones perfect and I guess I screwed up somewhere on the other one) and ive used it and had it dry out fine without any probs, but i think this thread has finally motivated me to go and try to seal it better
option 1: find a friend with stock headlights, and switch with him. bring your car in to the dealer, and have them replace the ballast under warrenty.
option 2: get an aftermarket HID system, and sell the extra parts
option 3: search for a ballast on e-bay or junkyard, etc
option 4: replace headlights with halogen bulbs
