I just joined the New Tranny Club
My 2001 TL transmission took a powder today. I started noticing a funny noise on Saturday and my wife noticed it a little later in the day when she was driving it. Yesterday I had difficulty shifting and today while enroute to my Acura dealer she gave up the ghost going up a really nice hill. I had it towed the rest of the way in and I will be getting a loaner from Enterprise in the morning. They said it would be a couple days to get it fixed. I have just over 56K on it. I had no other warning on this and I was feeling pretty good about not having a problem.

Acutee The dearship is picking up the towing charge. Originally I had called the Acura Roadside Service 800# and they said I would have to pay the towing expense. I told the guy on the phone that was unacceptable and I would discuss it with the dealer. The dealer never blinked at paying the charge. I have been to Park Acura for gong on 5 yrs and have nothing but great things to say about their service department.
