You should fix it and put it in your back seat for your rear seat passengers...then mount Playstation/DVD etc for their viewing pleasures..

Talk about a welcoming "reception".

People do some crazy things to get on T.V

Was there even a "remote" possibility of avoiding it?

chill out, it's not like you hit the tv...

I thought they were funny, like an Austin Powers' scene... "he picked a bad time to lose his HEAD"... "he'll never be the HEAD of a major corporation"

I guess that TV's life has just gone down the tubes. Its only wish was to dial laughing, but it ended up just being there for someone to channel his frustrations.

HDTV = Highway Debris Television.

I used to live in Tulsa, OK before I moved to Kansas City, and I am positive that there is more debris per square inch of asphalt in T-town than anywhere else in the country. Twice in six months I've picked up nails and screws on my tires. My car has gotten hit by flying pieces of glass and metal. Once I hit a whole BUMPER which someone has conveniently left lying in the middle of the road. I had to reverse to get that last road hazard out of under my car.

Maybe they should sweep the debris away when people have accidents on the road. Huh? Ya think?

I've only hit or run over birds, about 8 of them in the past 10 years. I feel really bad killing all those birds, however one good note is that I was doing about 85 mph each time so these bird never knew what hit them and consequently probably never felt any pain.

I let my friend drive my car a few weeks ago and it was at night and he ran over a dead squirrel. I'm thinking that's great I'm going to get rabies cleaning my wheels now!

Texas is worse. I lost my prelude due to shit on the road. I was going about 80 mph on Hwy 59, and was in the leftlane. There was this piece of shit suburban in front of me, and i couldn't see around him. Anyways, so he swerves one lane to the right it was clear for him. all of a sudden i see a car bumper lying perpendicular to the road blocking off my entire lane. to the right were cars, to the left was the wall. my prelude was dropped, so i braked hard, then swerved right, lost control did a 360 at about 60mph, apparently my tires were bald cuz i had no traction, and i went 2 lanes over, but traffic was comign so i turned back to left. did another 360 then crashed head on into the wall. car got totalled. i walked away with airbag burns. i lost my ****ing car to that. anyways, so a few days later i'm driving my rented PICK UP truck (don't laugh), and i see like 3 2x4's on 59. its all these ****ing rednecks with their pickup trucks keep dropping shit all over the highway.in retrospect, i should have just rammed into the ****ing bumper instead of swerving. anyways, i'm glad nothing else happened to your car and more importantly you're safe.

i think insurance will hook you up with any damage, they did for me.

I guess someone took those "Kill Your Television" bumperstickers a little too seriously...

Sorry, but this stupid joke came to me before I'd even read the others. I couldn't help myself!

Hope your car's OK!

Hey man...don't feel too bad about it. People these days are so damn careless they drop shit all over the freeways. I ran over an aluminum ladder before...just slightly though. I've seen a pile of trash and ladders and beds on freeways before. You just have to keep more distant between cars so you can have time to react when you do see something in front of you.

Yeah, I was sure that "I hit a TV" was a typo for "I hit a RV", like a Winnebago or something.

At least it was stationary... I read somewhere that Florida leads the nation in fatal highway "debris accidents", with the most common fatality being due to metal poles coming loose off of flatbed trucks and impaling people through the windshield!

I'm an insurance agent. I will like to hook you up with a client that I think will make a good match for you. About 6 months ago she ran into a sofa in the middle of the highway one night and totalled out her Buick. She's got the sofa and you've got the TV, match made in heaven!!

Nah, I think it's more like someone was moving and they happened to overload the truck.. and their TV fell off the truck. It sux tho... I hate it when you hit road debris especially when it's big like that.

I hit a friggin ladder on the fwy before in my previous car and I was pissed off.

ROFLMAO! This is priceless!

Anyway, one thing I've learned is to be extremely careful when following larger vehicles that block your view of the road ahead. When a large vehicle swerves away from in front of you, always assume that there is a BRICK WALL right in front of them. I almost hit a car which was stopped to make a left turn in a four-lane road because a truck in front of me swerved away to avoid it at the last minute.
