Angry I Hate Truckers

so i took a week off work to go down to idaho. and i was around boise on I-84 and a truck passed me going about 80 and shot a rock dead center in my window. nice little chip. that didnt bother me because i figured on a 500 mile drive down there i would get one. then the truck pulled in front of me and rocks started droping off of his trailer and bouncing off the ground all over my car. grr. i have more than 6 new chips in my window from him. before him i had 0 chips. and also about 8+ on my hood fenders and bumper. i was so pissed and worried about getting more so i backed off and he got off. i completly forgot to get his company and liscense plate number. so i supose ill just eat it. get some paint filler and fix it for now. till i get more and get the car repainted. the thing that pissed me off the most is that before this the car had 3 chips in the paint. for a 6 year old car thats damn good. then this A-hole desides to cover my car in them. o well ill stop ranting.

the window ones can be but that is besides the point i should not have to do that sh*t. it was an empty truck flat bed. the A-hole should clean his deck. o well thats what i get for having a nice car. now my windshild wipers are going to streak till i get the window fixed.

damn dude, that sucks. this happened to be when i was going across country. what i realized after the first rock hit my windshield (no chip) was that i can be football fields in front of every truck/trailer i see from now on.

good luck with the fix up!

Sucks to hear, I hate truckers. We moved from Seattle to Houston a few years back when we first got the TL and some trucker ran us off the road on I-10 in Texas.

that's what happens when you drive like such a pussy that even truckers pass you. lol j/k

but being 21, you should know that that's exactly what happens when you're behind trucks of that kind. if you didnt...well, now you know. watch out when doing the paint filler, read and practice a lot of sanding beforehand 'cause it might look worse after your done. also remember new paint will look different than what you have (sun, clearcoat)

i feel your pain. i drove by some house while someone was cutting grass, a rock hit my passenger door out of no where. it was so loud i heard it over my music. the rock added a collection of paint chips to my car and a decent size dent.

If anything happens to my windsheild at all, i can just go and get it replaced anywhere and my insurance will cover the entire bill. Check into that

Maybe its because I'm old but I never ever drive behind trucks. Any trucks. I will either slow down and make a lane change or speed up and pass them. Not only do you in most cases get stones thrown at you but they do not avoid pot holes leaving you very little time to react if there is one. Sorry to hear about your meteor storm.

Rocks

Guys, Also when you follow a truck especially a dump truck be careful near a bridge or bump! The expansion joints or sudden axle movements will shower you with rocks that would ordinarily ride along. Get the heck away from them asap. We caught a rock on our new 06 TL before it even had 1000 miles on it! It isn't always their fault and even a covered truck can hurt you, be aware. QR

that sucks balls....I remember when they gave me a loaner RSX for a day a few rocks smacked the windshield but, it wasn't my car so I didn't care. The grill off my accord flew off after a paint job, the front grill flew off while I was doin 80 and smacked a big rig

Im not sure if you did it, but u can take down the trucks plates and tell your insurance company what happened and you have to give them the date, time, place.. that kinda stuff and you can get it fixed.. or take all that info down and call the number on the truck if it had one.
