3200 miles... NOT EVEN FIRST OIL CHANGE.

Moron runs a light and smacks my bumper. $900 to fix.
Damn kid makes a 3 point turn and puts a crease on my drivers door as its parked....$200 to fix. The Dent Wizard pulled the door out, but the area is still wavey to the touch...
2 Dings because some FAT MORON needs to open his door all the way to climb out of and into his SUV.
I RARELY drive my car...and when i do....its destined to eat more money. I am afraid to put any mods on the car.
I hate new cars. I think the Acura TL-S is a MORON magnet of accidents to happen.
I park my car in a garage and away from all the cars in the company parking lot, but it looks like it has been parked on the street. Thinking of cuttng my losses and cashing it in.

Going to save up and look for a used HUMMER....that way I can wreak havoc of my own and not have to worry about morons.
Anyone know what the body panels of the Hummers are made of?

Your title is misleading. It has nothing to do with your TL-S but with other stupid drivers. FYI, every new car is a moron magnet. It just seems that the TL/TL-S is a stronger moron magnet.

 

try not to park in compact areas...if i c 2 space..i parked a lil sideways...to prevent another car parking so close to mine...

Ever since I bought my car, I exercise more and my car is ding free because I park my car far away from the morons.

 

You're just begging to have someone squeeze in next to you in their sh!tbox and slam your door just to prove their point, or at least get keyed. That's akin to parking halfway up the parking lot and actually parking your car sideways just to show people not to dare park near you, I can't stand those people. Just park as far away from everyone else and walk, granted, there will be the occasional jerk who parks rightnexttoyou just to piss you off, but that's rare.

 

I learned this at age 16 (23 years ago.) Somethings never change....

Any of us who have had a "special car" and have tried to maintain its appearance know the frustration of that first "gotcha." All too often it happens because someone has his/her head up his/her a*s and is not paying attention. Sometimes, someone is jealous, and cannot see anyone with a better set of wheels, and the worst is the malicious SOB who seeks pleasure doing minor damage to anything that looks good. I saw one new car with what looked like a set of door-dings done by another car--they were several inches apart, and it looked like the one who did it opened his door, moved back a few inches and opened it again and again, until there were 5 or 6 dings. Nice guy--his b-lls should get caught in his seatbelt...
Sooner or later, that ding will come, and it WILL hurt. The only thing you can do to try to prevent it is to park away, remembering not to park at the BOTTOM of a hilly lot (so the carts don't roll into you. Good luck and may you remain dent free from now on...

I agree that door dings suck, but when I see people parked sideways taking up two places, sorry man, have to disagree with ya there. Maybe if you're out in BFE, but not in the best parking spaces, unless you have a Ferrari, or >$150K car. You're asking for someone to key your ride.

 

It always pisses me off when someone parks in two spaces when I need one. I can see why someone would want to key someone in that position. I just park my new baby away from all the other cars...I'm just not looking forward to that first ding.

 

If you are one of those guys taking up two spaces, or making the one next to you too small to fit into...then I gotta tell you...

thats why i carry a sawed off base ball bat in my car i sawed the top off so it fits under my seat, looks like ****, but very effective

 

I gotta agree with you dude. Sometimes a car is just not meant for you. I had a Sebring (when it forst came out). Within about a 3-4 month period I had kids write on it w/ markers, the car was towed and impounded b/c the dealer messed up something w/ the title, and a couple months after that I smacked it into a sound barrier w/c some guy clipped me from behind. Cut you losses pal, and get rid of it while u have the chance....nothing against the TL, just looking out.

 

I always try to park my car next to newer and nicer cars when I have the chance. So far no problems, except I got my "A" sign jacked.

 

I agree with many of the posters here! Park far away, and uphill. And if you can't, park next to nice cars.

I've parked way out of everyone else's way everyday, and I haven't received a single door ding, knock on... vinyl.

Now if they can make those filthy dump trucks stop flinging rocks at cars on the road, that'll make my day. D@&# vandals!
