Yeah dude, search our archives. Lots of stuff about their stuff. MCHTYPES on the CL board has their torque converter.

I sometimes wonder how our cars would behave with their TC.

 

MCHTypeS HAD the torque converter. His car was stolen and then later recovered from a lake in case you didnt know

 

This was what i was trying to member ... the guys on tccoa.com who have some cash go this route cuz the 4R70W FORD trannys suck big monkey balls.... this is the only way to make them truly reliable

 

why is everyone trying to build race cars here? go buy an nsx and do that...

Actually, many of us don't necessarily want a race car. But we do want a car with a better transmission and or less wasted performance due to a soft transmission. Since transmissions doesn't seem to be a strong point for these cars we simply seek aftermarket remedies to that and or other short comings.

Simply put, I can't do with a NSX what I can do with a TLS. I can make mods to the TLS that get me closer to the performance of a NSX. But I can't make the mods to a NSX that get me the function of what a TLS gives me.

Like 4 doors and a large trunk.
