how to remove driver side airbag cover?
Just as title said, how to remove driver side airbag cover? I don't need to remove the whole airbag, just the cover. Do I just pry around the edges? Thanks!

i think it come out as one piece, you need to take off the two small covers on the side, then remove two t30 hex i think, then the whole air bag comes out after you disconnet the harness. that is what i did when i change my inspire air big.

I'm thinking if I can swap the airbag cover with an 02 then I can get the emblum on it, without any danger when the airbag deploys and the emblum come flying into the cabin

Oh I am an idiot.........I kept thinking you want to take the passanger side air bag out, (yes I know you said driver side, my mind isn't working) Driver side is pretty simple.
1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery and wait about 5 mins.
2. At the bottom of the Steering wheel, pry up the retaining tabs and remove the access panel from underside of the air bag. Now you can get at the air bag connectors.
3. Remove the air bag connector and unplug it (it's tricky so make sure you remove it properly, don't force it)
4. Remove the right and left steering wheel covers (don't break the tabs)
5. Remove the 2 (4?) bolts that holds the air bag.
6. Air bag should come out pretty easy now, don't force it...
It's been a long time since I installed the wood trim steering wheel, so I might have missed something or gave the wrong info. Please becareful, air bags are dangerous. I do not take any responsibilty or admit that the informantion above is 100% correct. DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

OK ONE MORE TIME.
YOU CANNOT REMOVE THE AIRBAG COVER!!!!!!!
The airbag module is one piece. If you want the emblem, you have to buy the entire airbag.
