How often do you ZAINO your car?

Do you guys apply Z-1 everytime you ZAINO your baby?

"Z-1 Polish Lok™ is recommended twice a year on everyday vehicles and once a year on show cars."

that's copied from zainobros.com

This is second time ZAINOing my car and I didn't apply Z-1 this time. Just wanted to make sure that I'm following the direction.

Oh! How often zaino you car???

Thanks in advance.

Just like they said. Use polish lock once or twice a year. I usually do it quite a bit more, mainly because I Z2 or Z5 my car at least once a month.

I have at least 30 coats of Z2/Z5 on my car. The pics in my sig are old, but you can still see how shiny it is.

I use Z1 every 10 coats -- I'm on #16...

It really helps -- when Sal comes out with the new "hardener additive", the reapplication of Z1 is supposed to go away (so I heard)

That is correct. Coming very soon. You basically dump this stuff into your Z2 and Z1 goes away. That means us Zaino nutcases can do multiple coats in a day.

WOOHOOO!!!!

Oooh, is that true? One of the reasons I haven't been using Zaino is the long drying times. That would be sweet!!

Question

What do you guys mean by multiple coating? Do you guys wax, buff off and wax again?! (wax and buff off several times in a row after washed the car?!)

I know it's a stupid question, but thanks for your answering. :p

Multiple coating is just waxing it multiple times. Like I wax mine once a week, so I have about 5 coats (I cheated one week and waxed it on a Wed.!) of wax on my car. I actually use the Mother's system, but they're very similar.....

Yeah it's close but the big benefit with Zaino is that the layering is much better. When you wax with a typical carnuaba you strip some of it off each time you add a new layer. Zaino does not. That's where the depth and color comes from.

Yeah, I noticed that... that's why I'm all excited about the new Zaino additive!! Now I can switch to Zaino right before the winter (hopefully)!!

I don't konw about you guys, but right here in the hot and dry Northern California, it takes only 5 minutes for Z2 to dry and once I completely applied the thin coat, I usually don' t need to wait to buff the Zaino off, because it takes longer than 5 minutes for me to wax to the whole car. And I don't see how it would become a problem during the winter, because the humitity is lower during that time of the season here.
