no this is true. I've seen post before with a rather detail instructions on how to do it. All it does is to use the paper clip to short out pins on a connector in a sequence to reset the light

Sounds kind of risky to me. Just call a dealer or repair shop. I'm sure most of them will just tell you to bring it in so they can charge you, but I'm sure one of them can give you the info you need.

here is how to do it:

1)turn ignition switch off

2)connect the scs service connector to the MES connector. Do not use a jumper wire [This is where you bridge the two wires with the paper clip]

3)turn igition switch to on

4)The SRS indicator light will come on for about 6 seconds, and then go off. Remove the SCS service connector from the MES connector within 4 seconds after the light comes on

5)The SRS indicator will come on again. Reconnect the SCS service conector to the MES connectoer within 4 seconds after the light comes on.

6)When the SRS indicator light goes off, remove the SCS service connector from the MES connector within 4 seconds.

7)The SRS indicator light will blink 2 times indicating that the memory has been errased

8)turn the ignition switch to off and wait for 10 seconds.

After step #8, plug the yellow block wiring harness back in. the code is now reset

SCS is the connector connected to the airbag, 2 wires

MES is a tool to short out the 2 pins, you can use a paper clip instead of the actual connector

so on the SCS connector, the location is 4th from the bottom (left column) and 1st from the bottom (right column) the same for TL-P as the CLs?

This is awesome...

also, can't I just take the car to autozone for them to reset? Thanks again!
