How do you remove scuff marks?

Help! My TLS has been tainted and I dont know what to do about it. I drove a couple of people to the movies last night and this morning I found a 4 inch scuff mark in the right rear side of the bumper along with some few minor scratches. I know I can buff the small tiny scratches out, but how would you remove the scuff mark left on by the other bumper? Usually scuff marks would leave this black residue, but this one is tanned in color. Someone mentioned rubbing baby oil on it, could anyone else confirm or suggest a better solution?

I have used P21S Paintwork Cleansing Lotion, with some pretty good success.

Is that readily available from any auto parts store? I've never really heard of it.

Try Meguiar's #9 - it uses quartz and clay materials to polish safely. I have used it for this purpose many times, or shoe scuffs on the lower body near the door sills.

Perfect! I have shoe scuffs on the lower body too. As I mentioned before, where could I get such a product?

Yep, hit the link above, they carry a whole variety of products, with product test and hints on using it. Check out their link to their sister site as well.

Try Using a Clay Bar

For scuff marks or bumper maker (rubber ones) try buying the Meguirs, Mothers, Blue Clay clay bars. They are also good for preping your cars for a wax job.

Hope this helps...

Believe it or not, but GS-27 works great on scuffs and shines up chrome really well.
