How do I install these sidemarkers? (pics)

I've never seen sidemarkers that mount this way. I don't know if I should install them myself. Anyone do this before? What kind of tool should I use to make the hole?

It's easy....you need to use a jig saw OR a dremel tool with the CORRECT attachment. You also need to tape up around the area to be cut so you don't scratch the car...the blade needs to be FINE and SHARP so you dont get burrs or pull up the metal after it is hollow.

i hate markers like that

cant you find one that only needs a pin hole for the wire and held by double sided tape? or even 2 holes for the mounting bolts

make sure you have enough clearance behind the panel

mr. tl, I currently have sidemarkers that screw on with 2 screws and all I had to do was drill a big round hole in the middle and 2 screw holes but they suck. Since they screw on, the front lens snaps off so you can access the screws but when it rains water gets in them because they don't seal up good. Those were my second set. These new ones are completely sealed in the front and the bulbs twists on like a corner headlight bulbs so I shouldn't have water problems.

Ron, where can I get a dremel with the correct attachment? Wanna install them for me?

You can get the necessary tools at Home Depot or a Tool Warehouse or something like that, even Sears may have what you need......

.....if all else fails, you know where to come to get them done

I don't have any pics, but basically what it is is a drill bit that cuts when moving side to side. Using a jig saw is much better idea though just so you know.

A jig saw? I'm kind of scared to do it with that. It's easier to slip with it. I'm gonna try with the dremel because it seems safer. I know what attachment you're talking about now.
