I know an Acura certified Master Mechanic who will do side service job/maintenance on our car. He did numerous services on my car (both now and my last car). He charges only fraction of labor comparing to what you paid at the dealership (duh, if you bring your car in, he will be the one who is doing it anyways...so you get the same amount of work quality but with much cheaper price).

My car needs a 60k tune-up and something else is worng with it. Maybe he can take a look at it for me.

He can buy the parts for you or you just buy the parts and bring it to him. You save on labor costs. Sorry no discount on parts...too much trouble..also, this is under the table deal.. The dealer doesn't like their employees cut them out.

 

I'm definitely interested since my free maintenance at John Eagle is about to run out.

I used to bring my car to Charlie Thomas and get under the table **** done. But the dude quit from there. I go to a different dealer now. I'm spoiled now, I don't htink I can ever take it straight to the service desk. You get raped like that.

Well I wouldn't know how much he'll charge you..but sure as hell it'll be a lot cheaper than the dealer. Look at the recommend service interval for your car, find out what needed to be done and bring the car to him, he'll service whatever u want to your car...if you car need timing belt replace (not at 43K), he'll do that too..basically *anything*..hell he will replace tranny, rebuilt motor and everything too if u want him to..(basically will do everything under the sun that is related to car)...it's all up to you.
Again, I am not his "agent" so I don't know about prices. That's between you and him...so he will quote you a price accordingly depending on what you wanted done.
