is it possible to have cfhoods without hoodpins??? its so unsafe. the hood is so light and the front clip wouldnt be enough to hold it down.. if there's even a little gap, the hoods just gonna fly right off.. i dont know if its nessacary or not, but i wouldnt take the chance..

I've known of people running with good quality heavier CF hoods without hoodpins and didn't have any problems. However, with that said, I'd still recommend you invest in hoodpins. It would really suck to have the hood fly off while driving.

good quality heavier CF hoods

on all the cars i had with carbon fiber hoods, only had hood pins on 1 of them, and the others never flew off, even at high speeds

You should put the hood pins on just for safety reasons. I have hood pins on mines. I have heard alot of scary story cf hood without pins.

I'm confused...

Why would you want to put a CF hood on your car? What are the benefits? Don't beat me up for this. I'm just wondering are the benefits weight related, aesthetic, or what...
