I agree- there is a system to pump hot coolant/radiator fluid thru the parts of the TB to heat it

In certain conditions- cold, and more strangely= hot and humid- you can ice up the air plate pivot in the TB from the compression and expansion of the moving air = frozen throttle and poor running

Had it happen to me in a small airplane once- carb ice- -what a thrilling few minutes that was to diagnose and fix in flight...on the check ride with the FAA examiner to get my license (groan)!! We run air cooled engines and carbs
and yes I passed the test~

You can bypass those lines when installing an aftermarket intake heat resistant spacer,
but for most users leave it alone

whats up with yours?

Did you have the intake off the car and these hoses are leftovers?

Yup, any chance you can take a look under your hood and confirm these connections for me?

which goes to which side?,
or you confused the vac lines and coolant lines so now it runs bad?
(you wouldn't be the first)

what do you want- a pic?
