Help with the shift knob

Unhappy Help with the shift knob

I try to install the shift knob, but can't take the one in the car out. It still very hard. How do you guys take it off. Help me please.

do you turn on the top of the shift knob or the bottom of the aluminum part? yes i turn clock wide.

both parts are attach.....try the leather part because you get more torque. It is hard, but it will come out, just try harder.

Turn the entire thing COUNTER clockwise, not clockwise, Put some muscle into it, it'll come off.

The leather itself should have enough grip, but I decided not to kill my hands trying so I used some rubber kitchen gloves to get that extra grip..

If you are putting in a Burlwood knob, just make a note that it will seem very tight on the last 2 turns.. you should be able to get it down all the way and only see maybe 2 threads underneth..

damn. this **** is tight. man i am taking a break now. Is it the same thing when you put the burling wood knob in. If it does. Damn I gonna die tonight. I think it almost out but don't lknow yet. it take forever

Unhappy You arms gonna die

I replace the knobs on my and wife's TL on same day. My hands and forearms still shaking. Those knob really tight.

damn i give up. I continue do tomorow. Damn my hand is all hurt. cant even type. Anyone with the muscle want to work out. You can come to my house and work out.

Mine came right off. Took me like a minute. Just grab the leather part of the knob and turn it counter clockwise.

I think i mess it up. Is counter clock wine is when you sit on the driver side and turn to the right of you. I think i turn to left of me. Help me out

You turn it to the left. Like a clock starting at 12 and going 11, 10, 9, etc.

if you open a bottle on top of the can. you have to turn to the right to open right. I just figure it out while i am driving home from work. let me know i am wrong or not. I been turn to the left all nite last night. Now i cant turn it anymore. I think i turn it wrong.

I got it out and put my new burling wood shift knob in. Wow it so beautiful. I been touch that all day. I also got my wheels today and put it in too. It look so fantastic. I love mods.

Yea rub while i am driving to work rub while i driving home from work. Damn I like the wood steering wheel, but ran out of money. I have to wait for that or else i rub both of them.
