Hey Guys, I want your opinions for tinting my 03 WDP-S
I am thinking like 35% all around, or 15% rear 35%front, or 25% all around(but kindda risky from cops)
Anybody got pictures for tinted WDP TL????

if i was you, id go 10% all around. thats what i have on my TW tl. the cops in md dont seem to mind. i have yet to have a problem.

I have 35% all around. I think it looks better if you keep it the same all around, if I could do it again, I would go with 25% all around

 

25-30% creates a fine balance b/w
1. being somewhat legal (open your sunroof if u see a cop)
2. Protecting your eyes and car leather from the sun
3. Giving privacy, especially at night when I think it's most important, at least in the city
4. Making your car look nice
5. Actually seeing at night around corners and while driving backwards

 

id say do 20% all around with 50% winshield, thats what i got and love it, wouldnt change it if i could

yea the guy showed me 35% i was going to that, thank god i got the 20% all around it isnt black but its definatley dark enough

 

I've got 15% all around and sometimes I wish it was darker. I should've went with limo like I started to.

 

the 50% full winshield definatley makes it alot darker inside

 

20%/ 35% Go with 3M. Ive got it and I love the tint.

35 in the front and 20 all around back. i love it. i think its dark enough for me.. wow, its so dark when i sit in the back seats, or when im cleaning the leather.. but i think its good enough. i havent gotten a ticket about it yet, nor do cops really care, since its not as dark as mosst people have it around here

alright thanks guys for your comments!! But I am still undecided yet....ahhhhh I want to do 25% all around but 25% in front is a bit dark...so if i see cops it's risky i think....I know cops dont look for tinted windows but just in case.....any pictures??

 

I have 5 (limo) and love it. The only difficulty I have is backing up at night, but it's really not that bad once you get used to it (you can also install some brighter back up lights). I had 20% on my old SC and wasn't happy with it. I like being able to pull up next to a cop at a red light and give him the finger while he stares at my window blankly.

 

lol. i have 5% all around on my NPB tl, and 50% in the front, OMG i get harrassed all the time.

 

i got 20% on my back window and 35% all around on 4 doors... I LOVE it i would NEVEr go darker... i have SSM with black interior btw

 

Finally I have time and money now so I am going for tint today!!! I have been waiting to get it done for so long...I am planning to do 30% all around even though I feel kinda worried for my front being 30%. We'll see if I can get away from the cops.

Hey does anyone have pics of tints with 35% side windows and 20-25% rear window?

 

I got 20 % all around dont do it darker in the back and lighter in the front that looks horrible if you dont want to go dark and cops are an issue go with 35% all around looks good and not to dark. My personal preference is to roll deep and have it as dark as possible also my Father in Law is a Detective so I have a get out of jail free card. LOL

 

I don't know what I have... All I know is I have quantum tint... Darkest shade in the rear and 2nd darkest on all four windows.

 

I finally got my windows tinted. I decided to go with 30 % at the front and 20% rear. I think it looks very nice...I am happpy!!! At night front and rear looks the same. But in day time I kinda see little difference. Now I gotta wait few more days until I can roll down my windows...

Don't forget that having a black or tan interior actually makes a lil difference in how dark the tints look from the outside. You prolly have to go darker with the tan interior to get the same effect with a black interior.

 

thats why i did 20% on my back windshield and 35% on the sides... and you cant see the differnce between the back windhsield and the side windows- meaning the back doenst look darker than the sides... its a perfect match

 

I got 5% on the sides, 15% in the rear, and 35% in the front. Looks great.

but mine is 50% front and 35% rear....

 

Anyone in Cali have problems with Cops? I just got tint and I am a little worried. I asked for 50 on sides and rear, but I think that it is 35.

 

 

my TL is black on black but i think i am going to endup going w/ 25% or 30% . . hopefully the MD cops wont bust my chops . .

 

20% for looks
35% if you are worried about cops... I went with 35% but wish I went with 20%

 

I would go 35% all the way around and be done with it or do the 20% on the back... get Formula One Classic or Pinnacle if you have Navi?

Then you have no probs with the fuzz or with inspection... If you have a white tl it will look darker from the outside... if you have light interior it looks lighter than having dark interior as well..., you'll be fine with 35% unless you drive around during the day smoking weed and snorting coke...

 

Just got my 20% tints on the car . . looks pretty good to me BUT a part of me thinks it might be a tad bit on the dark side b/c of my black interior .. .. ohh well, let see how long i can before the cops start getting on my case . .
