I picked these up for around 250 shipped to Canada from Long Beach, Cali... Great deal and great service, well, at least where I got them it was... These headers will be going up in price just like the alphaworks headers did when they came out.. First couple of waves are at a great price to get the name and confidence up, then the price plateaus...
IMO the welds look great... and it is a rather straight foward install too.
enjoy..

^Looks like another company besides Comptech finally figured out how to mount the O2 sensor bung in the right place, unlike alphawerks or OBX or Stone.
Although I don't see the need for an additional flex-section in the downpipe. Seems like that area is usually prone to scraping the most. Might cause headaches down the road a little with rattles and/or leaks.

hopefully it will work fine, some Cl.com members had problems with some other brands of headers

REPOST...
I really wanted to share this with everyone here, the Alphawerks headers are a decent deal for the money if you are willing to see this and accept it:

This first one has miswelded internals that don't line up. Extremly poor job of sanding/buffing out burrs that are left from production. Also there are small "gaps" between the pipes. I don't know if this is normal, but look at the next pic...

Towards the top of the picture, you will see another gap...
Conclusion: The welds are decent when connecting the flanges and the piping togther. They are virtually identical with the other photos of the Megans. The inside welds/piping are what my concern are. As I understand most headers have a resonance problem around 2500 RPM. I am almost postive that this is the reason. I have not installed the headers yet and am reluctant now fearing serious resonance issues and long term quality... Never the less, I will be installing them next week just to give the headers a chance. My mechanic will buff out most of the burrs with a Dremel and hopefully that will minimizes the problems but I won't know till i get them on. Wish me luck!
BTW: The Megan external welds look better than the Alphawerks. I don't know what the internal welds look like on the Megans...

I just had my Megan headers installed last week. So far, everything is fine.
Fitment was almost perfect. My mechanic had to trim the flange around the 1st catalytic converter to get the main header pipe to bolt flush against it.
Not sure if I have resonance cuz I dont know what it sounds like.....? Can someone clue me in?
As far as gains go.....the butt dyno feels em. The car is quicker and pulls harder in the higher RPM's. But it is not VERY noticeable. I was expecting much more from these headers as far as gains go. I swear I think I got more power out of my UR crank pulley install then these headers.
I guess for $185 shipped it was worth it, but again I was expecting MUCH more. I guess I'm a little disappointed (but not much).
Anyway, one other question. Should headers help your top-end speeds? The reason I ask is because b4 the headers I could hit about 105 in 3rd. After the headers, I can still only hit 105 in 3rd. Or am I just able to get to 105 quicker with these headers?
Sorry, if these are dumb questions.

changing headers won't give you a higher headline, the gearing ratio is still the same~

Resonance question stands.
Thanx.

the power gains but the gearing is still the same
so everybody would still hit redline in 3rd at 105
unless you retune the ECU and remove the rev limiter, then it's another story.
but you will damage the engine for doing that, will need some major modifactions to the valves/cams
COMPAIRISON PICS vs. AW HEADERS....

What this boils down to is that the MEGANS are a better VALUE and QUALITY than AW... AT LEAST MEGAN SPOT WELDED THE HOLES ON THE INSIDE OF THE PIPES...
FOR $600- I AM BEGINNING TO FEEL THAT I GOT RIPPED...

There is no fitment issue at all... the only "problem" is having to torch out a rusty bolt on the old exhaust..
