Hack into onstar-use it for free!!

i searched and didnt find any threads on this.

If you disnt opt for the navi, but have onstar you could have made a good decision and you may not have needed the navi in the first place.
news article:
http://www.bayarea.com/mld/mercuryne...ss/7569678.htm

Heres the how-to guide:
http://members.cox.net/onstar/

YOU own the onstar box in your car and its always on when the car is on so you might as well be using it even if you dont subscribe to the service.

Has anyone tried this with a TL yet?

Well since onstar only comes with the Navi's, theres absolutely no reason to try this mod since you could get your GPs coordinates with a touch of the screen as is.

Don't all the 2003 TL / TLS have the On-star antenna thingie, even if they are not navigation equipped? I was under the impression that navi and onstar are separate things but I could be wrong.

Didn't see his post because he posted at almost the same time I did.
