Unhappy Guys, Need help with my Bodykit!!!

hey guys, i bought the 2002 TL bodykit from Athens Acura and i need help installing, looks simple enough with all the hinges and and bolts but which go where im not sure, i want to do it once and do it right to save me time and frustration, so is there a diagram some where on the web i can view or print out to guide me? Or if maybe someone can help who has done it before, that would be much appreciated i live in Brooklyn, NY.

I think Tim at Ray Laks can get 02 kits for cheaper than Acura of Athens.

when i was shopping around for my kit, i heard that Ray Laks gave good prices, but he quoted me $1029, and the sides had to be repainted b/c he didnt have them in WDP, making the paint match iffy. But who knows, he might have better prices on the other colors.

The instructions should have came with the kit you know... I know mine did. It should take no longer than 1-1 1/2 hour to install everything. Very Easy. (at least for the sides and the front)

You don't need to take off the bumper to install the front. Don't have a scanner, otherwise I can probably look for the instructions and scan them for you. I'm pretty sure someone has them here tho... Member like CJITTY.

You dont have to remove it but it might make it a bit easier to get under there. I did it without removing the bumper but that was a while back and I think it would of been easier if I had removed it.

Did you not install it yourself?

It requires drilling in the front and rear. Since it's a dealership-installed accessory, the mounting points for the body kit (just like spoilers) were never prepped at the factory.

For the front and rear, you do have to drill. But it's a no brainer.

The guy said he's got an '02. I know for sure that you have to drill in the front for UA5.

Hey man, I am sorry I didnt get your call. I had left my phone home by accident. I did it on the parking garage at work lol

I don't recall drilling at all. The only drilling I did was the places where the mud guards would go. There were little dimples there already so it was easy. Used a dremel for that and I think that was it.

Did you see the instructions I sent you?

well, all is finally done except the front lol, i gotta get it done professionally cause i dont have time taking the whole bumper off and dont have the proper metric drill bits, i checked and there arent any holes for the kit, must be drilled on buttom. Acura said 145 dollars, but im gonin to a body shop and get it done for less then half.
