Got an Alignment check.. here are the numbers:

I got a free alignment check from the Toyota dealership where I bought my TL, used.
Its a 2002 tl-s with 60k.
I wanted to get it checked because the car has been pulling to the right a little bit and I have been getting nasty vibes from the steering wheel right at 60mph. It may be remnants of the bent rim I had straightened out, but does anyone think it could have damaged anything else, like a tie-rod, etc?

Ok, here are my numbers.
LF
Camber = .3
Toe = .13

RF
Camber = -.1
Toe = .21

Front Total Toe = .34
Steer Ahead = -.04

LR
Camber = -.2
Toe = .14

RR
Camber = -.5
Toe = .1

Rear Total Toe = .24
Thrust angle = .02 (not really, FWD... )

OK, so it looks like my front Toe is way off. The limits being -.08 to .08 for each side.
I had an alighnment done about 4 months ago. The streets here are bad, but not aweful. Can the need for frequent alignments be the sign of anything?

Also, I suppose that explains the pull to the right, but would an out of Toe spec cause vibrations felt through the steering wheel (not the ass) at speeds with directional tires?

Toe will wear a tire WAY faster than a camber prob, and will cause pulling of the steering wheel.

I didnt ask about a camber problem. I don't have one.
Tire wear is actually normal (I've measured often and rotate the tires religiously)
I mentioned I know the Toe issue is the cause of my pulling.

My questions were would it cause a steering wheel vibration problem, and what should I look for in terms of damage/wear and tear since I have been needing alignments so frequently after my bent rim incident?

vibration is caused by something out of balance. ie a tire, or a bent rim.

i didnt say you had one you prick! all i stated is that toe wears tires faster, and a worn tire or a tire thats wearing unevenly will become out of ballance causing s vibration. get your head out of your ass! you come here for help thats what i gave

I was just mentioning that the tire wear has been normal for my car since I put new tires on (about 4 months, 5k miles ago). That was all. Tire wear was not my concern, and I know what to look for with uneven wear, etc...
The whole camber issue was mentioned by you. By my numbers, I dont have one. My question had to deal with toe issues, and I had mentioned that would cause the pull issue. Just keeping it on topic and clearing up any doubts. You repeated what I said in terms of any facts with your advice.

Also tires tend to wear balanced, and if they do go off, its not by much because the reduction in diameter throws of the tire's weight moment off. This is more noticeable in truck tires for example. I think that has been a topic discussed before, if not in this forum, in or someplace else.

I think you need anger management or something.

Don't doubt Kris!!! Bottom line is, he knows what he's talking about. He told you what your problem was (which he is usually bang on about) and you for some reason kept rebuttling back. If you're gonna be stubborn, then don't post up questions. Trust me, I'm a good friend of Kris's and I always listen to what he has to say, especially when it deals with cars. He's a great guy to know, since he's had so much experience in the field of automotive, and overall a very loyal friend!!!

Rep points for kris, way to be buddy!!!

Dude... I asked two questions, show me where he answered them?

He chewed my ass out 2 hours after he posted some suggestions... What gives?? I didnt even have a time to reply to narrow down what I have done to troubleshoot the issue. It took him 2 hours to get offended?

I've seen his posts before, and some have been very helpful. Im not saying I appreciate it, but I was just trying to provide more feed back for isolation.
So much for a friendly forum.
I've been on for over a year posting here and there and even swapping parts with other members. Don't see the need for someone to PMS on me now.
