Someone on A-CL did the entire interior in LEDs. He said it looked good in pictures but not in person. He also said he wouldn't reccomend it.

The problem is getting something to get rid of all the "hot spots" where the LEDs are mounted. It is hard to diffuse the light so that it looks evenly dispersed across the gauges and dash.

you can get around the hot spot problem by shaving the lens

The site listed above is great, but all they are providing is the LED and resistor. Would be cool if someone could get ahold of the bulb mounting sockets and solder everything in place for you. True plug and play.

I always though about doing that, it wouldn't be too hard to do. Maybe once I move.

Feel free to contact people off the board. Once you are ready to start selling on Acura-tl.com, please contact the management about a vendor application.

The people on this thread mentioned our site, not me. I was just correcting one of them when they said all we offer is the LEDs and the resistors.

I do not even sell any LED kits for the TL, so how could I be advertising?

Has anyone tried the dash kit mod from them? I am willing to try it as long as I know the correct numbers of bulbs behind the gauges and if the bulbs will fit. I noticed that the kit comes with the 168/194 radial LED's and Takewaki used the normal LED's that were shaved. Is there a quality difference in the spread of light and can our console fit the 168/194 LED as well as the Wedge LED bulb that lights the odometer?

My other concern is how to take the dashboard apart. I found instructions on how to remove the dash from an accord and wondered if it would be an accurate guide for the TL. Would this mod void the warranty on the car?

I just wanted to get all the facts together before I start making purchases.

theres no problem at all with hot spots, if you get bulbs with 120 degree angles then you'll be fine, except for the clock which requires a little play. Later tonight im going to take some pics of mine.
