going to the track tonight

Welp, I got my oil changed with the RP yesterday, added some Techron for the injectors and added 10 gallons of 93. I drove her hard as h=ll for about 40 miles last night as the temps dropped into the 60's trying to get the hang of gate shifting again (I haven't even bothered to try since last winter, and I have the new tranny and ECU and some mods since).

Anyway, got up this morning and it was 63 degrees. Let her warm up for about 10 minutes before leaving for work, eased out of the 'ol neighborhood sitting behind a new Z and we both got on it. I was gating again, and my tires just chirped loud as h=ll hitting second as I was pulling beside him. We both had our windows down and he looked as the CAI roared and missed his shift! My nittos only have 1200 miles on them and hooked up hard and launched me to the top of 2nd in no time...Wow...I am able to shift at almost 7200rpms with the gate and the car stays right into the next power band! We got stuck at the next light after I backed it down from 90...We were in traffic and he gave me props after I said "looks like you missed a shift". I had to turn, so no second run...

Anyway, got to work and pulled up the weather.com It's only going to be 74 degrees today, 60% humidity and lows of 53 degrees tonight! Woo hoo!

My newfound fun is going to be explored! I'm heading down to Gainesville for the test and tune drags tonight! I'll post my slips tomorrow and hope not to embarass myself. The mods are winding first and second so quickly I've hit the rev limiter a couple of times gate shifting. The traction these tires are giving me is awesome, but the car suddenly has so much torque steer with the colder weather and finally low humidity that my attention has been all over the place...At least I'll have a nice baseline before I get around to adding the s/c!

Wish me luck!

"Jax" raceway is only 1/8th of a mile and is 99% inhabited by KKK oriented, gap-toothed, redneck, white trash mf'ers...
Hence, G'ville!

Nah, no 'cheating'...I want to know what my everyday time will be since all that stuff stays in teh car anyway. Spare's still in, seats and jack in, my gym-bag is in the trunk, golf umbrella, briefcase (leaving straight from work). I had a big-a$$ sub for lunch which does nothing but add to my 207lb figure. I did take out my 800lb golfbag if that is any consolation.

I don't think they allow passengers, so no video unless he can catch it during the run from the stands or staging area if we can get a camera. My parents have the camera in Vegas, but my friend might bring his if his wife isn't STILL filming his new baby. He'll be running his Integra GSR, too, so maybe I'll post vids too if we get them and somebody will host...
